RESOLUTION NO. 4330
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF SULLY MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY, FOR PREVENTIVE
MAINTENANCE OF ASPHALT PAVEMENT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
385 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 385 of the City of Vernon was approved
by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution
No. 4319, and sealed bids were opened on May 6, 1975, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR.,
Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
under date of May 14, 1975, recommending that the Contract for
Preventive Maintenance of Asphalt Pavement be executed with
Sully Miller Contracting Company, on the basis of their bid in the
sum of Twenty Eight Thousand Four Hundred Forty One Dollars and
Seventy Cents ($28,441.70), being the lowest bid meeting the
Contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommendation
of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
