RESOLUTION NO. 4336
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON SETTING
THE TtMEAND PLACE FOR. PUBLIC HEARING BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON,SITTING ASA PLANNING COMMISSION, TO DETERMINE
WHETHER TO ADOPT , ,REJECT OR MODIFY PROPOSED ORDINANCE, NO. 856.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the
7 City of Vernon a draft of Ordinance No. 856, being an Ordinance

of the City of Vernon entitled, ttAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ESTABLISHING ZONING DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF VERNON, CALI-
FoRNIA, AND REGULATING AND RESTRICTING USE OF. LAND AND BUILDINGS,
HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS, OPEN SPACES AND THE LOCATION OF BUILDINGS
. .
A ND IMPROVEMENTS ON LAND, ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING SAID ZONING
DISTRICTS, DEFINING THE TERMS USED IN THE ORDINANCE, PROVIDING
FOR ITS ADJUSTMENT, AMENDMENT, AND ENFORCEMENT, PRESCRIBING
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS AND REPEALING ORDINANCES 541, 569, 578,
594, 640 and 752 and ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITHtt, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon sitting as a
Planning Commission proposes to hold a hearing open to the public
on such Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
sitting as a Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing on
the proposed adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 856, described above, and
which would establish the Zoning policy for the City of Vernon
in its entirety, and said hearing will be held at 1:15 p.m., in
the Council Chamber of the City Council of the City of Vernon,
4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California 90058 on June 17, 1975.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Government Code 5 65854(b), the
City Council of the City of Vernon sitting as a Planning Commis-
sion determines that there is no newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in the City of Vernon and hereby directs
the City Clerk of the City of Vernon to post Notice of Hearing

in three (3) of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to
wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the
northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and
on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of the City
of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, all in said City.
SECTION 3: That a copy of said Notice of Hearing is
attached hereto and marked ttExhibit An and incorporated by
reference for all purposes as if set forth in full.
SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 20th day of May, 1975.

said Ordinance Ho. 856.
Said Ordinance would affect all land located
within the 'bourldaries of t.he City of Vernon.
That a copy of the Map shoWing the proposed %Dnmg
Changes is on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said
City located in the above-..tioned City Hall and may be
examined upon request during regular business hours.
