RESOLUTION NO. 4337
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING
CONTRACT NO. 390 AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS" FOR ONE DUMP TRUCK, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 390
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Vernon, Contract No. 390, for One Dump Truck, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has deter-
mined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon that
said Contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State laws,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That Contract No. 390 is hereby approved by
the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the City
of Vernon a copy of Contract No. 390.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to give Notice, in writing, inviting sealed pro-
posals or bids for One Dump Truck, in accordance with Contract
No. 390, and in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circu1atio~
printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City
Clerk is hereby directed to post said Notice, or cause the same
to be posted, in three (3) of the most public places in the City
of Vernon, to wit; the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa
Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific
Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City
Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in
said City.
SECTION 5: The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained that the general prevailing rate of pEr diem wages
and the rates for legal holidays and for overtime work in the

locality in which the work is to be performed, described in
Contract No. 390, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic
needed to execute the Contract, which will be awarded to the
successful bidder, and that the gene: al prevailing rate of per
diem wages and rates for legal holidays, for overtime work in
the locality of the execution of Contract No. 390, for each
craft, classification or type of workman or mechanic needed is
set forth in said Contract and incorporated by reference at this
point for all purposes as if set forth in full and hereby approved
by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 6: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to post said Notice forthwith and the first
posting of said Notice shall be not less than ten (10) days before
the opening of bids for the proposed work. That said Notice shall
provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the
City of Vernon, California, at the Office of the City Clerk of
said City at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon CA 90058,
until the hour of two (2) o'clock P.M., on the 17th day of June,
1975, and in accordance with Contract No. 390 approved by said
City.
SECTION 7: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of June, 1975.

NOTICE INVITING BIDS
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR ONE DUMP TRUCK
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 390 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
Pursuant to Resolution No. 4337 of the City of Vernon,
adopted on the 3rd day of June, 1975, directing same, NOTICE IS
HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals or bids will be received by
the City of Vernon, California, at the office of the City Clerk,
4305 Sant Fe Avenue, until two (2) o'clock P.M., on the 17th day
of June, 1975, for One Dump Truck in accordance with Contract No.
390, approved by said City. The proposals will be publicly
opened and read in the Council Chambers of said City on.the date
and at the time mentioned above. Specifications and Contract
Documents may be obtained from the Director of Public Works.
The equipment to be furnished under said Contract No. 390
is as follows:

FURNISH AND DELIVER ONE (1) DUMP TRUCK.
To be entitled to consideration, each bid submitted pur-
suant to this notice shall be made out on a form to be obtained
at the Office of the Director of Public Works and shall be deli-
vered to the City Clerk of the City of Vernon in a sealed envelope
at, or before, the time stated herein, and must be plainly marked,
"Proposal for Contract No. 390ft.
Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw
his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for
the opening thereof.
The City of Vernon reserves the right to reject any and all
bids or waive any informality in the bid.
Dated at the Office of the City Clerk of the City of
Vernon this ~day of June, 1975.
