A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CD ONCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DETERMINING
A NEW~PAPER OF . GENERAL.. CIRCULATION, AUTHORIZING A PUBLICATION OF
NOTICE OF _ PUBLIC. HEARING IN THE SAME, AND SCHEDULING A, PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 857
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 857 of the City of Vernon, relating
to the adoption of a portion of the Uniform Building Code, Accumu-
lative Supplement, 1975 edition, has been read for the first time
by title only at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Vernon, held on June 3, 1975, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 50022.3 of the Government
Code of the State of California, a notice of said hearing must be
published in a newspaper of general circulation in or nearest to
the City of Vernon,
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby determine that the Los Angeles Daily Journal is a news-
paper of general circulation nearest to the City of Vernon, and
2. Said City Council does hereby schedule a public hearing
relating to the adoption of Ordinance No. 857 of the City of
Vernon on the 1st day of July, 1975, at 1:15 o'clock P.M., in the
City Council Chamber of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa
Fe Avenue, Vernon, California 90058.
3. That said City Council authorizes and directs the
City Clerk to publish a Notice of Public Hearing, a copy of which
is attached to this Resolution and incorporated herein by refe-
rence, in said Los Angeles Daily Journal, pursuant to Sections
50022.3 and 6066 of the Government Code of the State of California
4. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to
the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of June, 1975.
