RESOLUTION NO. 4349
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF AMERON, INC., FOR CEMENT LINING CAST IRON PIPE, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 391 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 391 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 4340, and sealed bids were opened on July 1, 1975,
and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR. E. NELSON, JR.,
Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
under date of July 10, 1975, recommending that the Contract for
Cement Lining Cast Iron Pipe be ~ecuted with Ameron, Inc., on
the basis of their bid in the sum of Three Thousand NiRe Hundred
Dollars Exactly ($3,900.00) being the lowest bid meeting the Con-
tract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 15th day of July, 1975.
