RESOLUTION NO. 4352
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF SULLY. MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY, FOR PREVENTIVE
MAINTENANCE OF ASPHALT PAVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.385
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, SULLY MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY was awarded the
Contract for Preventive Maintenance of Asphalt Pavement, pursuant
to Contract No. 385 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon under date
of July 30, 1975, that said work has been completed and recommends
that the work be accepted and payment be made to the Contractor
in accordance with the agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the work for Preventive Maintenance of
16 Asphalt Pavement, pursuant to Contract No. 385 is hereby approved
17 by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The total contract amount is Twenty Four
19 Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Seven Dollars and Sixty One Cents,
20 ($24,387.61). That there is now due to the Contract the final
21 partial payment totaling Twenty Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Nine
22 Dollars and Forty Seven Cents ($20,729.47), which should be paid
23 at this time and the remaining Fifteen Percent (15%) of the total
24 Contral amount or the sum of Three Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Eigh
25 Dollars and Fourteen Cents ($3,658.14) is payable Thirty Five (35)
26 days after the adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of
27 the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set fort

to SULLY MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of August, 1975.
