RESOLUTION NO. 4358
A RESOLUTION. OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF 333 CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR FURLONG PLACE STORAGE
BUILDINGS.AND BLOCK WALL, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CON'l'RACT NO. 392 OF
THE CITY OF VERNON .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 392 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 4348, and sealed bids were opened on August 19,
1975; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR.,
Director of Public Works, Who has reported to the City Council
under date of September 10, 1975, rec01IlD.ending that the Contract
for Furlong Place Storage Buildings and Block Wall be executed
with 333 Construction Company, on the basis of their bid in the
sum of Ten Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty Eight Dollars Exactly
($10,838.00), being the lowest bid meeting the Contract require-
ments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION l: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the rec01IlD.enda-
tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rej ected and the
City Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bid-
ders any cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
28 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of September, 1975.
