RESOLUTION NO. 4361
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF CHAMBER-MIX CONCRETE, INC., FOR FRUITLAND AVENUE SLURRY
SEALING, IN ACCOBDANCE WITH CONTBACT NO. 396 OF THE CITY OF VEBNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VEBNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 396 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 4355, and sealed bids were opened on September 16,
1975; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON , JR. ,
Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
under date of September 29, 1975, recommending that the Contract
for Slurry Sealing Fruitland Avenue be executed with Chamber-Mix
Concrete, Inc., on the basis of their bid in the sum of Four
Thousand One Hundred Ninety One Dollars and Sixty Cents ($4,191.60),
being the lowest bid meeting the Contract requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the
City Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bid-
ders any cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and' thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 7th day of October, 1975.
