F. DICKSON COMPANY. INC., for STREET SWEEPING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 399 OF THE CITY OF VERNON . THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, Contract No. 399 of the City of Vernon was approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 4360, and sealed bids were opened on October 21, 1975; and WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works. who has reported to the City Council under date of October 28, 1975, recommending that the Contract for Street Sweeping be executed with R. F. Dickson Company, Inc., on the basis of their bid in the sum of Sixty Seven Thousand Six Hundred Sixty One Dollars and Twenty Eight Cents ($67,661.28), being the lowest bid meeting the Contract requirements; 9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda- ' tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works. SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bid- ders any cashiers or certified checks deposited ~th said bids. SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
