RESOLUTION NO. 4370
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA,
CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 2nd-DAY OF ,MARCH,
1976, FOR_ THE ELECTION OF . CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY, AS RE-
QVIREDBY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to
General Law Cities in the State of California. a regular general
municipal election shall be held on the 2nd day of March. 1976,
for the election of two (2) members of the City Council of said
City for the full term of four (4) years;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to the requirements of the laws

14 of the State of California, relating to General Law Cities within
15 said State, there shall be, and there is hereby called and ordered,
16 held in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles. State of Cali-
17 fornia. on Tuesday, the 2nd day of March, 1976. a regular general
18 municipal election of the qualified electors of said City for the
19 purpose of electing two (2) members of the City Council of said
20 City for the full term of four (4) years.

SECTION 2: That the ballots to be used at said election
22 shall be. both as to form and matter contained therein, such as
23 may be required by law to be used thereat.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of said City is hereby
25 authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and
26

all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies.
equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to
28
properly and lawfully conduct said election.
SECTION 4: That for the purpose of holding said regular
general municipal election. there shall be and are hereby estab-

lished one (1) voting precinct consisting (of consolidations) of
the regular election precincts in the City of Vernon established

for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular
election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this Resolu-
tion. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall
be the places hereinafter designated; and that the persons herein-
after named, being competent and qualified electors and residents
of said City and of their respective voting precincts. are hereby
appointed officers of election for their respective voting pre-
cincts and they shall hold said election and make return thereof
in the manner provided by law.
Voting Precinct 1, comprising regular election precincts
1, 2, 3. 4, 5 and 6.

SECTION 5: That the compensation of the persons hereinbe-
fore named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of
Twenty-nine ($29.00) Dollars for each Inspector and Twenty-four
($24.00) Dollars for each Judge and Clerk for said election.
SECTION 6: That the polls for said election shall be open
at seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. of the day of said election and shall
remain open continuously from said time until seven o'clock (7:00)
P.M. of the same day when said polls shall be closed. except as
provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of
California.
SECTION 7: That in all particulars not recited in this
Resolution, said election shall be held and conducted as provided
by law for holding municipal elections in said City.
SECTION 8: That notice of the time and place of holding

said election is herepy given and the City Clerk is hereby autho-
rized. instructed and directed to give such further or additional
notice of said election in time. form and manner as required by
law.
SECTION 9: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of December, 1975.
