RESOLUTION NO. 4386
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. nUON ACCEPTING
THE won OF, GRIFFITH, COMPANY FOR WASHINGTON BOULEVARD AD AI..AHEDA
STREET RESURFACING,_ IN ACCORDANCE WITH CON'TllACT NO. 397 OF THE CITY

6 WHEREAS, GRIFFITH COMPANY was awarded the Contract for
7 Washington Boulevard and Alameda Street Resurfacing. pursuant to
8 Contract No. 397 of the City of Vernon. and
9 WHEREAS, ARTHUR. E. HLSON, JR.. Director of Public Works
10 has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon under date
11 of February 9. 1976. that said work has been completed and recom-
12 mends that the work be accepted ad payment be made to the Contrac-
13 tor in accordance with the Agreement;
14 NOW, TImREFOU. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work for Washington Boulevard ad
16 Alameda Street Resurfacing. pursuant to Contract No. 397 is hereby
17 approved by the City of Vernon;

SECTION 2: The total contract amount is Seventeen Thousand
19 Three Hunclred Sixty One Dollars and Thirty Cents ($17.361.30). That
20 there is now due to the Contractor the final partial payment totaling
21 Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Seven Dollars and Ten Cents
22 ($14.757.10), Which should be paid at this time and the remaining

23 Fifteen Percent (1St) of the total Contract amount or the sum of

24 Two Thousand Six Hundred Four Dollars ad Twenty Cents ($2.604.20)

is payable Thirty' Five (35) days after the adoption of this Reso-
lution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs

payment of said sums as set forth to GRIFFITH COMPANY.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
29 certify to the passage of this Reso1utioa and thereupon and there-
30 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17th day of February. 1976.
