WHEREAS, said request urges the City Council of the City I
of Vernon to request the allocation of funds from the Public tJtili- :

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works,

has submitted a request to the City Council, dated February 19,
1976, and

ties Commission of the State of California in the maximum amount

of Six Thousand One Hundred Ninety Eight Dollars and Fifty Cents,

($6,198.50) for Crossing No. 2H-l.35C, however not to exceed one-
half (l/2) of the City of Vernon's actual costs of constructing

16 protection at said crossing, and

WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the City

of California that said request for allocation of funds be executed,!
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: I

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon doesl

22 hereby approve the recommendation of the Director of Public Works, I

of Vernon, and for the benefit of the general public of the State

dated February 19, 1976, and authorizes and directs the Mayor and
the City Clerk of the City of Vernon to execute and forward to the
25 Public Utilities Commission of the State of California a request for
24

allocation of funds in the form set forth and attached to the letter
27 of the Director of Public Works referred to above.
SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-

after the same shall be in full force and effect.
