RESOLUTION NO. 4399
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING
SPECIFICATIONS NO. 402 AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED
PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR REMODELING THE KITCHEN AT FIRE STATION 11,
IN ACCORDANCE.. WITH SPECIFICATIONS. NO... 402. OF THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Vernon, Specifications No. 402 for Remodeling Kitchen
at Fire Station 11, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has deter-
mined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon that
said Specifications be awarded in accordance with applicable state
laws;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
.
SECTION 1: That Specifications No. 402 is hereby approved
by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the City
of Vernon a copy of Specifications No. 402.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vemon is
hereby directed to give Notice, in writing, inviting sealed pro-
posals or bids for Remodeling Kitchen at Fire Station 11, in
accordance with Specifications No. 402, and in accordance with
this Resolution.
SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circulation
printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City
Clerk is hereby directed to post said Notice, or cause the same
to be posted, in three (3) of the most public places in the City
of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa
Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific
Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City
Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in
said City.

SECTION 5: The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained that the general prevailing rate of per diem wages
and the rates for legal holidays and for overtime work in the
locality in which the work is to be performed, described in
Specifications No. 402, for each craft or type of workman or
mechanic needed to execute the Specification, which will be
awarded to the successful bidder, and that the general prevailing
rate of per diem wages and ~ates for legal holidays, for overtime
work in the locality of the execution of Specifications No. 402,
for each craft, classification or type of workman or mechanic
needed is set forth in said Specifications and incorporated by
reference at this point for all purposes as if set forth in full
and hereby approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 6: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to post said Notice forthwith and the first
posting of said Notice shall be not less than ten (10) days before
the opening of bids for the proposed work. That said Notice shall
provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the City
of Vernon, California, at the Office of the City Clerk of said
City at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon CA 90058,
until the hour of two (2) o'clock P.M., on the 20th day of April,
1976, and in accordance with Specifications No. 402 approved by
said City.
SECTION 7: That the City Clerk of
