RESOLUTION NO. 4403
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF STEINY AND COMPANY, FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION,
ATLANTIC BOULEVARD AND DISTRICT BOULEVARD, IN ACCORDANWE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 398 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 398 of the City of Vernon was approved
by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution
No. 4393 for Traffic Signal Installation, Atlantic Boulevard and
District Boulevard, and sealed bids were opened on April 6, 1976,
and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR. J
Director 0:CPub1ic Works, who has reported to the cIty Council
under date of April 14, 1976, recommending that the Contract for
Traffic Signal Installation, Atlantic Boulevard and District
Bou1evarcl be executed with Steiny and Company, on the basis of
their bid in the sum of Seventeen Thousand Four Hundred and One
Dollars Exactly ($17,401.00), being the lowest bid meeting the
Contract requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer Is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashiers or certified cheeks deposited with said bids.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
