RESOLUTION NO. 4427 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF OLIVER RADIO EMERGENCY MONITORING COMPANY dba OREMCO FOR FURNISHING COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT FOR THE VERNON CITY HALL AND POLICE FACILITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 401 OF THE CITY OF VERNON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, Contract No. 401 of the City of Vernon was approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 4401, and Addemdum No. 1 thereto was approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 4406, and bids were opened on the 4th day of May, 1976, and WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR. Director of Public Works and to MARION J. VARNER & ASSOCIATES, Architects for the City of Vernon, and WHEREAS, the determination of the successful bidder, after hearing and discussion on the matter, was made by the City Council of the City of Vernon at an adjourned regular meeting held June 29, 1976, at which time said City Council determined to award said Contract and Bid to OLIVER RADIO EMERGENCY MONITORING COMPANY dba OREMCO, on the basis of their bid in the sum of One Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Eighty Six Dollars and Fifty Eight Cents ($194,086.58) being the lowest bid meeting the Con- tract requirements, upon the condition that OLIVER RADIO &MERGEN MONITORING COMPANY dba OREMCO would agree, in writing, to absorb up to Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) for the City of Vernon's expense in maintaining a Resident Inspector during the construc- tion and completion of the project, and that said $3,000.00 amoun or applicable portion thereof shall be withheld by the City of Vernon from any final payment due OLIVER RADIO EMERGENCY MONITORI G COMPANY dba OREMCO and remitted by the City of Vernon directly to 30 the selected "Resident Inspector" or his authorized agent. That 31 32 said sum of $3,000.00 would be included in the total bid price of $194,086.58, -1- . .'
