RESOLUTION NO. 4439
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF, CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING COMPANY, INC ~, FOR
FURNISHING AND INSTALLING JAIL EQUIPMENT FOR THE VERNON CITY HALL
AND POLICE FACILITY, PURSUANT TO CONTRACT NO. 376 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING COMPANY, INC., was
awarded the Contract for furnishing and installing Jail Equipment
for the Vernon City Hall and Police Facility, pursuant to Con-
tract No. 376 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works,
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon under date
of September 2, 1976, that said work has been completed and
recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the
Contractor in accordance with the Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the work for furnishing and installing
Jail Equipment for the Vernon City Hall and Police Facility,
pursuant to Contract No. 376 is hereby approved by the City of
Vernon.
SECTION 2: The total contract amount is Sixty Thousand
21 Two Hundred Eighty Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents, ($60,287.50).
22 That partial payments have been made in the sum of Fifty Four
23 Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Eight Dollars and Seventy Five Cents,
24 ($54,258.75) which is Ninety Percent (90%) of the Contract. The
25 remaining Ten Percent (10%) or the sum of Six Thousand Twenty
26 Eight Dollars and Seventy Five Cents, ($6,028.75) of the Contract
27 is payable Thirty Five (35) days after the adoption of this Reso-
28 1ution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs
29 payment of said sum as set forth to CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERIN
30 COMPANY, INC.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
32 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
