RESOLUTION NO. 4442
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF . CROWN COACH CORPORATION FOR THE REPOWERING OF VERNON
FIRE DEPARTMENT ENGINE NO. 22, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS
NO. 404 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Specifications No. 404 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 4434 of
. the City of Vernon, and bids were opened on the 7th day of Septem-
ber, 1976, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to FRED H. COLVIN, Fire
Chief and to CHARLES H. McGOVERN, City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, FRED H. COLVIN, Fire Chief, has recommended the
acceptance of the bid of Crown Coach Corporation for their bid
price and, in addition, for the installation of an emergency brake
system at an additional price of Six Hundred Forty Eight Dollars
Exactly ($648.00), said recommendation being dated September 16,
1976,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: The City Council or the City of Vernon does
hereby award a Purchase Order to CROWN COACH CORPORATION for the
sumsset forth,above.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders any
certified or cashiers checks deposited with said bids.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
