RESOLUTION NO. 4444
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REQUESTING
THE SUBMISSION OF A REQUEST FOR THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FROM THE
PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR PRO-
POSED CROSSING PROTECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT LOS ANGELES JUNCTION
RAILWAY COMPANY TRACKS AND DISTRICT BOULEVARD CROSSING.NO.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works,
has submitted a request to the City Council, dated October 20,
1976, and
WHEREAS, said request urges the City Council of the City i

of Vernon to request the allocation of funds from the Public Utili-I

of California that said request for allocation of funds be executed~

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon I

does hereby approve the recommendation of the Director of Publ~c I
Works, dated October 20, 1976, and authorizes and directs the Mayor I
I
I
and the City Clerk of the City of Vernon to execute and forward to i
I
I
the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California a request
I
for allocation of funds in the form set forth and attached to the
ties Commission of the State of California in the maximum amount
of Two Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars Exactly, ($2,150.00) for
Crossing No. 25B-1.50C, however not to exceed one-half (1/2) of
the City of Vernon's actual costs of constructing protection at
said crossing, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the City
of Vernon, and for the benefit of the general public of the State
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
