RESOLUTION NO. 4446
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON SETTING THE
TIME AND PLACE" FOR HEARING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIG-
NATED AS VERNON DETACHMENT 1-75
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed by Reliance Steel & Alumi-
num Co., a California corporation requesting that certain after-
described property be detached from the City of Los Angeles and
annexed by the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. owns all of the pro-
perty hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code S 35310.1, a hearing
should be held to hear protests, either written or oral, to said
annexation,

1 Beginning at the intersection of a line parallel and concentric
2 with and 17 feet northwesterly, measured at right angles and
3 I radically, from the northwesterly lines of said Lots 7 and 9
4 and the southerly boundary of the City of Los Angeles. as same
5 existed on November 17, 1975; thence northeasterly along said
6 parallel and concentric line to the westerly prolongation of
7 the northerly line of said Lot 9; thence easterly in a direct
8 line to the northeasterly corner of said Lot 31; thence southerly
9 along the easterly line of said Lot 31 to said boundary of the
10 City of Los Angeles; thence westerly along said boundary of the
11 City of Los Angeles to the point of beginning.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper printed, published and
circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed
to certify to the passage of this Resolution and shall post the
same, or cause the same to be posted in three (3) of the most
public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner
of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis
Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board in the
lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at 4305 Santa Fe
Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of
California; that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
as of November 16, 1976.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of November, 1976.
