RESOLUTION NO. 4455
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON CHANGING THE ENERGY COST ADJUSTMENT BILLING
FACTOR CHARGED FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY DISTRIBUTED
AND SUPPLIED TO ITS ELECTRICAL CONSUMERS
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 873 provides for an energy cost
adjustment billing factor and for changes in such billing factor
to be made from time to time by resolutions of the City Council
of the City of Vernon when, in the City Council's opinion, such
changes are necessary for the sound financial position of the
Light and Power Operating Funds; and
WHEREAS, Edison has been authorized by the Federal Power
Commission to make monthly changes in the fuel cost adjustment
charged Vernon for resale power and such fuel cost adjustments
have increased during the last several months which has greatly

increased the cost of power purchased by the City of Vernon from

Edison; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon deems it

necessary for the sound financial position of the Light and Power
Operating Funds to increase the Vernon energy cost adjustment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON as follows:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby adopt an Energy Cost Adjustment Billing Factor of
1.501 C/KWH net, which is the figure to be used after the
application of the 5% Vernon discount on electrical energy sold
to its electrical customers.
SECTION 2: That the effective date of said Energy Cost
Adjustment Billing Factor shall be June 17, 1977 and shall continu

1 until rescinded or amended by a resolution of the City Council
2 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 3: That this Resolution rescinds existing Fuel
4 Clause Adjustment Resolution No. 4375.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
6 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
7 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
8 PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of June, 1977.
