A RE;SOLUTI,ON Of THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ,

EN~fN~~aI.~~F INC., FOR PAVEMENr STRIPING FOR
1977 ,H. IN-'ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 409,
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAp, Contract No. 409 of the City of Vernon was
approvE7,d bY' 'f;:.PE1.c;~ty Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant
to Resolution No: 4'452, and sealed bids were opened on January 18,
1977; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR.,
Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
under date of February 1,1977, recommending that the contract for
pavement striping for 1977 be executed with Traffic Engineering,
Inc., on the basis of their bid in the sum of Twelve Thousand
Two Hundred Ninety Six Dollars and FortyCents ($12,296.40), being
the lowestbidfCleeting the contI:"act requirements.

NOW TIiEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF VERNON as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award the Contract No. 409 in accordance with the recom-

mendationof ARTHUR E. NELSON,JR., Director of Public Works.
SECTION 2: All other bids are hereby rejected andth~
City Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful
24
bidders any cashier or certified checks . deposited with said bids
25
upon receipt of an executed contract from Traffic Engineering, Inc.,
26
accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.
27
SECTION 3: City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
28
to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter

the same shall be in full force and effect.
