RESOLUTION NO. 4460
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 410 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR ONE 1500 GPM FIRE APPARATUS,
PUMPER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 410
OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
7 WHEREAS, .there has been presented to the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon, Contract No. 410 for the purchase of
9 one l500GPM Fire Apparatus, Pumper; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11 determined that it is in the best interest of the City of
12 Vernon that said.contract be awarded in accordance wi th applicabl
13 State law.
14 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON as follows:

SECTION 1: Contract No. 410 is hereby approved by the

17 City Council of the City' of Vernon.

SECTION 2: City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
19 directed to file in his office at the City B:a1l of the City of
20 Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 410.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
22 directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed proposals
23 or bids for one 1500 GPM Fire Appratus, FOrward Pumper, Diesel
24 engine" 500 gallon tank, in accordance with Contract No. 410 and
25 in accordance with this resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circulation
27 ,pr:j,;nted, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City
28 Cle':tk is hereby directed to. post said notice, or to cause the

same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
City of Vernon, to wit:
The Northwest Corner of 38th Street and Santa
Fe Avenue, the Northeast .comer of Leonis Boulevard
and Pacific Boulevard, and on the. bulletin board
in the,.. lbbby!1of't,he City Hall of the City of Vernon,
located at 4-)05 Santa Fe Avenue, in said city.

SElCT,!ON i5 The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
9 dir~ctedtopost said notice forthwith and the first posting
10 of said :notice sha11 not be less than ten (10) days before the
11 opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said notice shall
12 provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the
13 City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of the City, at
14 the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California, 90058,
15 until the hour of 2 :00 0 I clock P.M.> on the 15th day of March,
16 1977, and in accordance with Contract 410 approved by said City.

18 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
19 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

NOTICE INVITING BIDS
FOR FURNISHING
ONE 1500 GALLON PER MINUTE
TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPER
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Vernon,
California at the City Clerk's Office of said City at 4305
Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon 90058, California, until 2:00 p.m.
on March 15, 1977 for furnishing one 1500 gallon per minute
Triple Combination Pumper. The proposals will be publicly
opened and read in the Council Chambers of the City Hall
located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California, on the
date and at the time above mentioned. Specifications and
contract documents may be obtained at the above mentioned
office of the City Clerk upon payment of a deposit of ten
($10.00) dollars for each specification.
The equipment to be furnished under this specification is
as follows:
One 1500 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination Pumper
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or Cashier's
Check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the
estimated aggregate amount of the bid as a guaranty that the
bidder, if an award is made in accordance with the terms of
his proposal, will promptly execute a contract in the re-
quired form, and furnish a satisfactory bond for the faithful
performance of the contract.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to
waive any informality in any bid, and to make awards as the
interests of the City may require. This notice is given by
order of the City Council.
