RESOLUTION NO. 4461
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCILOr THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 408, AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR SUPPLYING CITY HALL JANITORIAL
SBRVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 408
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Vernon Contract No. 408, for the providing of
janitorial service for the City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has de-
termined that it is in the best interest of the City of Vernon
that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State
law.

CITY OF VERNON as follows:
SECTION l: Contract No 40~ .is h~re-.b~ approved by the
17 Ci ty Council. of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The Ci tYi,Cler~ o~:th~. ci tyro~ Vernon is hereby
19 directed to file, in his office at the City Hall of the City of
20 Vernon, a copy of said contract.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
22 directed to give notice in writing, inviting sealed pro:{?osals or
23 bids for proViding City Hall Janitorial Service in accordance
24 with Contract No. 408, and in accordance with this resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general cir,culation
26 printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City
27 Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause it to
28 be posted, in three of the most public places in the City of Vernon

1 to wit: The Northwest corner of 38th Stree,t and Santa Fe Avenue,
2 the Northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard,
3 and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of the
4 City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City.

SECTION 5: City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
6 directed to post said notice forthwith and the first posting
7 of said notice shall not be less than 10 days before the opening
8 of the bids for the proposed contract. Said notice shall provide
9 that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the City of
10 Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of the City, at the City
11 Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA 90058, until the hour
12 of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 1st day of March, 1977 in accordance
13 with Contract No. 408 approved by the City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
15 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
16 ,.{tI1ere.after the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this l5th day of February, 1977.

NOTICE rnVITING SEALED PROPOSALS (BIDS)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY OF VERNON, (hereinafter
"AgencyH) invites and will receive sealed proposals (Bids) up to the hour of
two (2) o'clock p. m., on March 1, 1977, for the furnishing to said Agency
of all transportation equipment, materials, supplies and services necessary
in order to provide janitorial service for the Vernon City Hall, Contract No.
408.
At said time, proposals will be publicly opened and annourced at the
offices of the Agency. Said bids shall conform to and be responsive to the
contract documents for said work as heretofore provided by said Agency and
must be accompanied by the security referred to therein.
The governing body of the Agency reserves the right to reject any
and all bids.
Copies of the contract documents are on file and may be examined
in the office of the Agency located at
4305 Santa Fe Avenue
Vernon, California
90058
Copies may be obtained from said office by deposit of $10.00 per
set which deposit will be refunded if they are returned in good condition
within 15 days after the opening of the bids.
