A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
A<lCflPTING THE BID OF SIGNAL MAINTENANCE, INC~( FOR
TAAt-P'IC SIGNAL INSTALLATION, SOTO STREET AT VERNON

WHEREAS, Contract No. 407 of the City of Vernon was approved
6by the City Council of the City qf Vernon, pursuant, tolte$olution
7 No. 4463jand sealed bids were opened on March 15, 1977; and
8 WHEREAS, said bidS were .referred to Arthur E. Nelson\?,Jr.,
9 Directolr, of Public Works, who has reported to the CityCo.uncil
10 under the date of March 18, 1977 I recommending that the'co~tract'
11 for Traffic Signal Installation, Soto Street at Vernon Avenue,
12 Soto Street at Leonis Boulevard be executed with Signal Mai1),.ten-'
13 ance, .Inc. on the basis of their bid in the sum of Fourteen
14 Thousand Four Hundred Eight Dollars ($14,,408.00), beiIlg'the lowest
15 bid meeting the contract requirements.
16 NOW, 'l'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCI~ OF TaE,
17 CITY OF VERNON as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does

hereby award Contract No. 407, in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of PUblic Works.

SECTION, 2: . All other bids are rejected and the City
21
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids,up&:m
the receipt of an executed contract from Signal Maintenance, InC.,
accompanied :qy all required bonds and certificates.
