RESOLUTION NO. 4476
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING BROOKS CARDEN FOR HIS MANY YEARS
OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, BROOKS CARDEN has been employed by the City of
Vernon since February 16, 1954; and
WHEREAS, said BROOKS CARDEN will retire from the service
of the City of Vernon on August 16, 1977; and
WHEREAS, BROOKS CARDEN has faithfully served as an employee
since February 16, 1954 and has served as Deputy City Clerk,
Purchasing Agent since November l6, 1958, and his loss will be
11 'deeply felt by the City of Vernon;

NOW ,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON as follows:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
takes this opportunity to commend BROOKS CARDEN for his many years
of devoted service to the ~ity of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
wishes BROOKS CARDEN continued success in whatever endeavors he
may undertake.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a certified
copy thereof to MR. BROOKS CARDEN, and that thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May, 1977.
