RESOLUTION NO. 4478
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON EXPRESSING ITS CONDOLENCES UPON THE PASSING
OF CARSON B. HUBBARD
WHEREAS, CARSON B. HUBBARD served honorably and capably as
City Judge, an office of the City of Vernon, since November 13,
1923; and
WHEREAS, on June 2l, 1949, CARSON B. HUBBARD was appointed
and served as City Attorney of said City of Vernon in an out-
standing career and served his community in many ways in a
prominent, conscientious and capable manner, until his retirement
from said service on April 30, 1958; and
WHEREAS, the u~timely passing of CARSON B. HUBBARD raises
the chorus of regret from all good men he has known; and
WHEREAS, CARSON B. HUBBARD, during his lifetime, demon-

strated high ideals of public service, a keen sense of justice,
a never failing courtesy, and was ever interested and willing to

cooperate in all matters pertinent to public welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON as follows:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon, on
behalf of the entire City, mourns the passing of CARSON B. HUBBARD

and expresses its deep condolences to his surviving relatives,
to wit:
his wife, Bessie, tWQ sons, Dr. Richard Hubbard and
24
Dr. Chauncey C. Hubbard, five grandchildren, two sisters and four
25
brothers.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
directed to forward a copy Of this Resolution to Mrs. Carson B.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the'passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this l7th day of May, 1977.
