RESOLUTION NO. 4480
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON PAYING TRIBUTE TO MRS. ADELAIDE JOSEPH FOR
HER MANY YEARS OF SERVICE IN THE LOS ANGELES
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
5 WHEREAS, MRS. ADELAIDE JOSEPH has devoted twenty-one years
6 of successful service as a teacher in the Los Angeles Unified
7 School District; and
8 WHEREAS, since September 12, 1960, MRS. ADELAIDE JOSEPH
9 has been serving the children of the Vernon community as their
10 kindergarten teacher at Vernon City School; and
11 WHEREAS, effective June 16, 1977, MRS. JOSEPH will retire
12 from said service; and
13 WHEREA~, her dedication to youth of all ages has been
14 boundless; and
15 WHEREAS, she has been a staunch supporter and contr~butor
16 to the children, staff and parents of Vernon City School; and
17 WHEREAS, she has ,earned the reputation as an outstanding
18 educator with .the highest professional integrity;
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
20 CIT~ OF VERNON as follows:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
22 takes this opportunity to commend and congratulate MRS. ADELAIDE
23 JOSEPH for her outstanding service to the children and community
24 in the Los Angeles Unified School System.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
26 wishes MRS. ADELAIDE JOSEPH continued success in whatever endeavors
27 she may undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
1 certify to the passage of this Resolution, and a certified copy
2 thereof shall be prepared and presented to MRS. ADELAIDE JOSEPH
3 as an expression of appreciation on the occasion of her retire-
4 ment.
