A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF TRAFFIC APPLIANCE
CORPORATION FOR PAVEMENT MARKER INSTALLATION, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 405 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON
WHEREAS, Traffic Appliance Corporation was awarded the
Contract for Pavement Marker Installation pursuant to Contract
No. 405 of the City of Vernon; and

WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public Works,

has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon under date

of June 28, 1977 that said work has been completed and recommends
that the work be accepted and payment be made to the contractor
in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON as follows:

SECTION 1: That the work for Pavement Marker Installation

pursuant to Contract No. 405 is hereby approved by the City of
Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Two-Thousand
Six-Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars and Ninety-Two Cents ($2,635.92).

That final partial payment totaling Two-Thousand Three-Hundred

Seventy-Two Dollars and Thirty-Three Cents ($2,3'72~33) is due now,
and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount
or the sum of Two-Hundred Sixty-Three Dollars and Fifty-Nine Cents
($263.59) is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of

this Reso~ution, and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
directs payment of~aid sum as set forth to Traffic Appliance
Corporation.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk is instructed to file a

Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's Office within
four (4) days of the adoption hereof.
SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
