RESOLUTION NO. 4490
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 411 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE 1977-80,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 411 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Vernon Contract No. 411 for Traffic Signal Main-
tenance 1977-80; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON as follows:
SECTION 1: Contract No. 411 is hereby approved by the
City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
dir~cted to file in his office at the City Hall of the City of
Vetnon a copy of said Contract No. 411.
SECTION 3.: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is here-
by ,dire.cted tic g:~venotice, in writing , inviting sealed proposals
or bids for Traffic Signal Maintenance 1977-80, in 'accordance
with Contract 'No. 411 and in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTI'ON4: There being no newspaper of, general circu-
lp.~io~ printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, th
City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause
the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the

1 City of Vernon.. ,to wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street and
2 Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
3 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of
4 the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe
5 Avenue, in said City.
6 SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
7 directed to post said notice forthwith and the first posting of
8 said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days before the open-
9 ing of the bids for the proposed contract. Said notice shall
10 provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the
11 City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of the City, at

the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California
90058, unt~l
1977, and in

the hour of 2:00 o'clock p.m. on the 2nd day of August,
14 accordance with Contract No. 411 approved by said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
16 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
17 after the s,ame shall be in full force and effect.

NOTICE L.~vITING SEALED PROPOSALS (BIDS)
I'
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY OF VERNON, (hereinafter
"Agency") invit es and will receive sealed proposals (Bids) up to the hour of
two (2) o'clock p. m., on August 2, 1977, for the furnishing to said Agency
of all transportation equipment, materials" supplies and services necessary
in order to provide traffic signal maintenance, Contract No. 411.
At said time, proposals will be publicly opened and announced at the
offices of the Agency. Said bids shall conform to and be responsive to the
contract documents for said work as heretofore provided by said Agency and
must be accompanied by the security referred to therein.
The governing body of the Agency reserves the right to reject any
and all bids.
Copies of the contract documents are on file and may be examined
in the offiGe of the Agency located at
4305 Santa Fe Avenue
Vernon, California 90058
Copies may be obtained from said office by deposit of $10.00 per
~
set which depcrsit will be refunded if they are returned in good condition
within 15 days after the opening of the bids.
