RESOLUTION NO. 4492
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON COMMENDING
THOMAS H. GARNER FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF
VERNON.
WHEREAS, THOMAS H. GARNER has been employed by the City
of Vernon in the fire service since May 1, 1951; and
WHEREAS, said THOMAS R. GARNER will retire from the
fire service of the City of Vernon on August 16,,1977; and
WHEREAS, THOMAS H. GARNER has faithfully served as an
,employee since May 1, 1951 and has served as Battalion Chief
of the Fire Department since April 1, 1967; and his loss will be
deeply felt by the City of Vernon;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF VERNON as follows:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
takes this opportunity to commend THOMAS R. GARNER for his many

years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
21 wishes THOMAS H. GARNER continued success in whatever endeavors he
22
may undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon,
24

shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
certified copy therecf to MR.~ THOMAS H. GARNER, and that thereupon
27 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
