2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF ROY ALLAN. SLURRY SEAL CONTRACTOR, FOR 25th and 37th
3 STREET SLURRY SEALING, AlAMEDA STREET TO SANTA FE AVENUE, IN ACCO
ANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 412 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

5 WHEREAS, Contract No. 412 of the City of Vernon was
6 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon Pursuant to
7 Resolution No. 4494 and sealed bids were opened on September 6,
8 1977; and
9 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Arthur E. Nelson,
10 Jr., Director of Public Works/Building, who has reported to the
11 City Council under the date of September l2, 1977, recommending
12 that the Contract for 25th and 37th Street-Slurry Sealing, Alameda
13 Street to. Santa Fe Avenue, be executed with Roy Allan Slurry Seal
14 Contractor, on the basi$, of his bid in the sum of Five. Thousand
15 Eleven Dollars and EighJ:y,Leight cents ($5,011.88), being Forty
16 Six Dollars a.ndEighty~~our cents ($46.84) per long ton, being the

18 NOW, THEREFORE, .aE ITRESOLV~D BY'.THE CITY COUNCIL OF
19 THE CITY OF VERNON, as follows:

SECTION 1: The City Coupcil' of the City of Vernon does
21 hereby award Contract; No. 412, :J.Q. acqorqance with the recommenda-
22 tion of Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public Works/Building.

SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
24 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
25 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon the
26 receipt of an executed Contract from Roy Allan Slurry Seal
27 Contractor, accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
1 certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and there-
2 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
3 PASSED,APPROVED AN'D ADOPTED this 20th day of September,

Gentlemen:
The bids received and opened at the City Council
meeting on September 6, 1977 for 25th and 37th Street Slurry
Sealing, Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue, according to
Contract No. 412, have been reviewed.
It is recommended that the contract be awarded
to Roy Allan Slurry Seal Contractor, 30381 Via Alcazar,
Laguna Niguel, California 92677, on tie basis of their bid
($5011. 88).
