RESOLUTION NO. 4502
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON CHANGING THE ENERGY COST ADJUSTMENT
3 BILLING FACTOR CHARGED FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY
DISTRIBUTED AND SUPPLIED TO ITS ELECTRICAL
4 CONSUMERS
5 WHEREAS~ Ordinance No. 873 provides for an energy cost
6 adjustment billing factor and for changes in such billing factor
7 to be made f~om time to time by resolutions of the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon when, in the City Council's opinion, such
9 changes are necessary for the sound financial position of the
10 Light and Power Operating Funds; and
11 WHEREAS, Edison has been authorized by the Federal Powe
12 Commission to make monthly changes in the fuel cost adjustment
13 charged Vernon for resale power and Edison has increased such
14 fuel cost adjustments during the last several months and has fore
15 casted additional fuel clause increases which will increase the
16 cost of power purchased by the City of Vernon from Edison; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon deems

18 it necessary for the sound financial position of the Light and
19 Power Operating Funds to increase the Vernon energy cost
20 adjustment.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
22 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
24 does hereby adopt an Energy Cost Adjustment Billing Factor of
25 1.6644 net, which is the figure to be used after the application
26 of the 5% Vernon Discount on electrical energy sold to its e1ec-
27 trica1 customers.

SECTINN 2: That the effective date of said Energy Cost
2 Adjustment Billing Factor shall be September 30, 1977, and shall
3 continue until rescinded or amended by a resolution of the City
4 Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 3: That this Resolution rescinds existing Fuel
6 Cost Adjustment Resolution No. 4455.
7
SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
8 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
9 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
10 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of September,
11 1977 .
