RESOLUTION NO. 4506
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON COMMENDING GEORGE E.
FOSTER ON HIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO
THE CITY OF VERNON
5 WHEREAS, GEORGE E. FOSTER has been employed by the City
6 of Vernon since May 16, 1950; and
7 WHEREAS, GEORGE E. FOSTER will retire from the service
8 of the City of Vernon on July 31, 1977; and
9 WHEREAS, GEORGE E. FOSTER has faithfully served as an
10 employee since May 16, 1950 and has served as Captain since
11 October 1, 1957, and his loss will be deeply felt by the City of
12 Vernon;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
l4 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vertlon
16 takes this opportunity to commend GEORGE E.FOSTER for his niany
17 years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the Ci.ty of Vernon
19 wishes GEORGE E. FOSTER continued success in whatever endeavors h
20 may undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
22 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a

23 certified copy hereo.f to GEORGE E. FOSTER, and that thereupon and
24 thereafter, the same shall be in full force and effect.
25 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of November,
26 1977.
