RESOLUTION NO. 4509
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING LEON B. KENZY ON HIS
MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, LEON B. KENZY has been employed by the City of
5 Vernon in the fire service since March 16, 1951; and
6
WHEREAS, LEON B. KENZY will retire from the fire service
7 of the City of Vernon on December 1, 1976; a.nd
8
WHEREAS, LEON B. KENZY has faithfully served as an em-
9 p10yee since March 16, 1951, and has served as Fire Captain, Grade
10 1, since April 1, 1969, and his loss will be deeply felt by the
11 City of Vernon.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
13 THE CITY OF VERNON as follows:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
15 takes this opportunity to commend LEON B. KENZY for his many years
16 of devoted service to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 wishes LEON B. KENZY continued success in whatever endeavors he
19 may undertake.

SECTION 3; That the City Clerk of theCi.ty of Vernon
21 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
22 certified copy thereof to Mr. LEON B. KENZY, and that thereupon
23 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
24 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of November,

THOMAS H. GARNER FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF
VERNON.
WHEREAS, THOMAS H. GARNER has been employed by the City
of Vernon in the fire service since May 1, 1951; and
WHEREAS, said THOMAS H. GARNER will retire from the
fire service of the City of Vernon on August 16,.1977; and
WHEREAS, THOMAS H. GARNER has faithfully served as an
,employee since May 1, 1951 and has served as Battalion Chief
of the Fire Department since April 1, 1967; and his loss will be
deeply felt by the City of Vernon;
