RESOLUTION NO. 4511
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF ROY ALLAN
SLURRY SEAL CONTRACTOR FOR SLURRY SEALING
25TH STREET AND 37TH STREET, ALAMEDA STREET
TO SANTA FE AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CON-
TRACT NO. 412 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
6 WHEREAS, ROY ALLAN SLURRY SEAL CONTRACTOR, was awarded
7 the Contract for Slurry Sealing 25th Street and 37th Street,
8 Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue, pursuant to Contract No.
9 412 of the City of Vernon; and
10 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
11 Works/Building, has reported to the City Council of the City
12 of Vernon that said work has been completed, under date of
13 November g, 1977, and recommends that the work be accepted and
14 payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the
15 Agreement.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

SECTION 1: That the work for Slurry Sealing 25th Street
18 and 37th Street, Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue, pursuant
19 to Contract No. 412 is hereby approved by the City of Vernon;
20
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Four
21 Thousand Six Hundred Forty Nine Dollars and thirty four cents
22 ($4,649.34). That there is now due to the Contract a final
23 partial payment totaling Four Thousand One Hundred Eighty Four
24 Dollars and forty one cents ($4,184.41), which should be paid
25 at this time and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total
26 Contract amount or the sum of Four Hundred Sixty Four Dollars
27 and ninety three cents ($464.93) is payable thirty five days
28 after the adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of

1 the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set
2 forth to ROY ALLEN SLURRY SEAL CONTRACTOR:
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be .in full force and effect.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of November,
1977 .

Gentlemen:
The work on 25th and 37th Street Slurry Sealing,
Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue, under Contract No.
412 has been completed.
The total contract amount is $4,649.34. Final
partial payment totaling $4,184.41 is due now. The
remaining ten percent $464.93 is payable thirty five
days after acceptance.
It is recommended that the work be accepted and
that authority be granted to pay the contractor, Roy
Allan Slurry Seal Contractor, 30381 Via Alacazar,
Laguna Niguel, California, 92677, in accordance with
the agreement.
