RESOLUTION NO. 4517
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 415
AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED
PROPOS~LS OR BIDS FOR CITY HALL LANDSCAPING,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 415 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Vernon Contract No. 4.15 for City Hall Landscaping;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Vernon
that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable
State law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON as follows:
SECTION 1: Contract No. 415 is hereby approved by the
City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 415.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed. to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
proposals and bids for City Hall Landscaping, in accordance with
Contract No. 415 and in accordance with this Res61ution.
SECTION 4: There being no news~aper of general
circulation printed, published or circulated in the City of
Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice,
or to cause the same to be posted, in three of the most public
places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest corner of

1 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of
2 Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin
3 board in the 10bby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon,
4 10cated at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City.
5 SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
6 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
7 posting of said notice shall not be less then ten (10) days
8 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
9 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
10 received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk
1l of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
12 California 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m., on the 20th
13 day of December
, 1977, and in accordance with Contract
14 No. 415 approved by said City.
15 SECTION 6: The CityClerk of the City of Vernon shall
16 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
17 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
18 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of December,
19 197 7 .
