2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK ON CITY HALL AND
3 POLICE FACILITY AND PARKING STRUCTURE, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 383 OF THE CITY
4 OF VERNON
5 WHEREAS, RUANE CORPORATION, was awarded the Contract
6 for work on City Hall and Police Facility and Parking Structure,
7 pursuant to Contract No. 383 of the City of Vernon; and
8 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
9 Works/Building, has reported to the City Council of the City of
10 Vernon that said work has been completed, under date of December
11 16, 1977, and recommends that the work be accepted and payment
12 be made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work on City Hall and Police
16 Facility and Parking Structure, pursuant to Contract No. 383 is
17 hereby approved by the City of Vernon;
18
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Three
19 Million, Five Hundred Thirty Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars
20 and seventy five cents ($3,534,800.75). That there is now due to
21 the Co~tract~rafinal partial payment totaling Three Thousand Two
22
Hundred Ninety Four Dollars and twenty five cents ($3,294.25),
23
which should be paid at this time and the remaining ten percent
24
(10%) of the total Contract amount or the sum of One Hundred Twenty
25
Five Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Dollars and seven cents
26
($125,480.07) is payable thirty five (35) days after the adoption
27
of this Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon
28
hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to RUANE

1 CORPORATION.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon

shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon

and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of

December, 1977.
