RESOLUTION NO. 4525
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON A~PROVING CONTRACT NO. 416
AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED
PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR TRAFFIC PAVEMENT
STRI~ING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NQ.
416 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon Contract No. 416 for Traffic ~avement
8 Striping; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
10 determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Vernon
11 that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable
12 State law.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON as follows:

SECTION 1; Contract No. 416 is hereby approved by the
16 City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
18 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
19 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 416.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
21 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
22 proposals and bids for Traffic Pavement Striping, in accordance
23 with Contract No. 416 and in accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
25 tion printed, published or circulated in the City of vernon,
26 the City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to
27 cause the same to be posted, in three of the most public places
28 in the City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest corner of 38th

1 Street and Santa:FeAvenue, the northest corner of Leonis
2 Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in
3 the lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at
4 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
6 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
7 posting of said notice shall not be less then ten ( 10) days
8 before the open.ing of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
9 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
10 received. by the City of Vernon 'at t.he office of the City Clerk
11 of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
12 California 90058, until the hour of 2:.00 p.m., on the 17th day
13 of January, 1977, in accordance with Contract No. 416 approved
14 by the said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
16 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
17 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of January,
19 1978.
