RESOLUTION NO. 4532
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING A BID OF SAFETY
STRIPING SERVICE, INC., FOR TRAFFIC
PAVEl!mNT STRIPING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 416 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Contract No. 416 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
Resolution No. 4525 and sealed bids were opened on January 17,
1978; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Arthur E. Nelson,
Jr., Director of Public WorkslBuilding, who has reported to the
City Council under the date of February 7, 1978, recommending
that the Contract for Traffic Pavement Striping, be executed with
Safety Striping Service, Inc., on the basis of their bid in the
sum of Fifteen Thousand Thirteen Dollars and 07/100 ($15,013. 07} ,
being the lowest bid meeting the contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
19 does hereby award Contract No. 416, in accordance with the
20 recommendation of Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
21 Works/Building.

SECTION 2:
All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is h~reby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
the receipt of an executed contract from Safety Striping, Inc.,
accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and

1 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
2 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of February,
