RESOLUTION NO. 4540
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ORDERING THE CANVASS OF THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
THE 7TH DAY OF MARCH, 1978, TO BE MADE BY
THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election will be
held and conducted in the City of Vernon, County of LOs Angeles,
State of California, on Tuesday, 7th day of March, 1978, as
required bylaw; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires
the canvass of said election to be made by the City Clerk of said
City; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to Section 22932.5 of the
Elections Code of the State of California, the canvass of the
regular general municipal election to be held in the Cit-y of'
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on Tuesday,
the 7th day of March, 1978, is hereby ordered to be made by the
City Clerk of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall, prior to the l4.th day of March, 1978, complete the canvass
of the regular general muni~ipal election to be held in said
City on the 7th day of March, 1978, and shall certify the results
of this said City Council on the 14th day of March, 1978.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
