2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK FOR
3 THE VERNON CITY HALL AND POLICE FACILITY,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 403,
4 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
5 WHEREAS, James Hill and Company, Inc., was awarded the
6 Contract for furniture and accessories for the Vernon City Hall
7 and Police Facility, pursuant to Contract No. 403 of the City
8 of Vernon; and
9 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
10 Works/Building, has reported to the City Council of the City of
11 Vernon that said work has beem completed, under date of
12 February 28, 1978, and recommends that the work be accepted and
13 payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the
14 agreement.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
16 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work on City Hall and Police
18 Facility, pursuant to Contract No. 403 is hereby approved by
19 the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is One
21 Hundred Forty Five Thousand Six Hundred Forty Six Dollars and
22 40/100 ($145,646.40). That there is now due to the contractor
23 a final partial payment totaling Three Thousand Nine Hundred
24 Nine Dollars and 25/100 ($3,909.25), which should be paid at
25 this time and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total
26 contract amount Or the sum of Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred
27 Sixty Four Dollars and 64/100 ($14,564.64). is payable thirty
28 five (35) days after the adoption of this Resolution and the

City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payments of said
sums as set forth to James Hill and Company, Inc.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of March,
1978.
