RESOLUTION NO. 4551
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING PURCHASING CONTRACT NO. 001
AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PRO-
POSALS OR BIDS FOR SUPPLYING CITY HALL JANITORIAL
SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 001
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
7 of .the City of Vernon Purchasing Contract No. 001, for the pro-
8 viding of janitorial service for the City Hall; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
10 determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Vernon
11 that said contract.be awarded in accordance with applicable
12 Stat.e law.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Purchasing Contract No. 001 is hereby
16 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
18 hereby directed to file, in his office at the City Hall of the
19 City of Vernon, a copy of said ~u~ch~$ing Contract.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
21 hereby directed to give notice in writing, inviting sealed pro-
22 posals or bids for providing City Hall Janitorial Service in
23 accordance with Purchasing Contact.No. 001, and in accordance
24 with this resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
26 tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
27 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause it
28 to be posted, in three of .the most public places in the City of
..
1 Vernon, to wit: The Northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa
2 Fe Avenue, the Northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific
3 Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City
4 Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in
5 said City.

SECTION 5: City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
7 directed to post said notice forthwith and the first posting
8 of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days before the
9 opening of the bids for the proposed :Purchasing Contract. Said
10 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
11 received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of
12 the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA
13 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 14th day of March, 1978
14 in accordance with Purchasing Contract No. 001 approved by the
15 City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
17 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
18 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
