A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 419 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEA.LBD PROPOSALS
OR BIDS ..FOR SERVICING OF . THE RADIO EQUIPMENT
OF THE POLICE, FIRE ANDPtJBr.,IC WORKS DEPART.-
~mNTS FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 1978 THROUGH
JUNE 30, 1979, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 419 OF' THE CITY OF VERNON

7 WHEREAS, there has been present.ed to the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon Contract No. 419 for servicing of the
9 radio equipment of the Police, Fire a.ndPublic Works Departments
10 for the period of July 1, 1978 through June 30, 1979i and,
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
12 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
13 that said contra.ct be awarded in accordance with applicable
14 State law.
15 NOW, THEREFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
16 THE CITY OF VERNON 1 AS FOLLO'{JS:
17 SECTION 1: Contract No. 419 is hereby approved by
18 the City Council of the city of Vernon.

SEC'l'ION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
20 hereby directed to file. in his of:Eice at the City Hall of the
21 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 419.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-

1 tion'printed, published or circula.ted in the City of Vern.on,the
2 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause
3 the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
4 City of yernon, to wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street
5 and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
6 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
7 City.Hall of 'the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe
8 Avenue, in said City.

SBCTION.,5: The City Clerk of the City' of Vernon is
10 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
11 posting of said notice shall not be less then ten:(10) days
12 before the opening of the bids for the proposed cont.rac-t;:. Said
13 notice shall provide that Sealed p.roposals or bidswi11be
14 received by the City of Vernon a.tthe office of the city Clerk
15 of .the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
16 California 90058, until the hour of 2: 00 p.m., On the 16th day of
17 May, 1978, and in accordance with Contract No. 419 ,approved by
18 said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of 'the City of Vernon shall
20 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
21 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
22 ADOPTED AND A1?;PROVED this 18th da.y of April, 1978.
