A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON DESIGNATING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS/BUILDING TO BE THE CITY'S REPRESENTA-
TIVE IN RESPECT TO CITY OWNED PROPERTIES

WHEREAS, Section 602(n) of the Penal Code of the State
of California requires the owner of real property to designate
7
an agent for the enforcement of said sectioni and
8
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Vernon
9
and the Director of Public Works/Building have :r:~commended tha.t
10

the Director of Public Works/Building be designated as the City's
agent in respect to management of the City's owned real
12
properties and the enforcement of Section 602(n) bf the Penal
13
14
Code.
NOW, THER,EJ'OR,E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Works/Building
17
be designated as the City's authorized representative in respect
to all properties listed on the attached Exhibit "A" incorporated
18

herein by reference as, though fully set forth at length for

purposes of enforceme~t of Section 602(n) of the California Penal
Code.

SECTION 2: In the absence of the Director Of Public

SECTION 3: That in the event the Director of Public
1 Works/Building or his assi.stant, i,n charge of the Water Department
2 is out of town or not available, the assistant in charge of
3 Streets and Construction shall be designated as the next al terna-
4 tive designee to manage the properties listed in the attached
5 Exhib-tt "Anand be responsible for the enforcement .of Section
,6 602(n) of the Penal Code in re~p'ect to said properties.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
8 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
9 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
10 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of May, 1978.
