2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 422 AND
3 AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR THE REROOFING OF SEVEN CITY OF
4 VERNON HOUSES LOCATED ON VERNON AVENUE AND
FRUITLAND AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
5 CONTRACT NO. 422 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
6 ~mEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
7 of the City of of Vernon Contract No. 422 for the reroofing of
8 seven City of Vernon houses located on Vernon Avenue and Fruitland
9 Avenue i and,
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
12 Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable
13 State law.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Contract No. 422 lS hereby approved by the
17 City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
20 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 422.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
22 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
23 proposals or bids for reroofing of seven City of Vernon houses
24 located on Vernon Avenue and Fruitland Avenue, in accordance with
25 Contract No. 422 and in accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
27 tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
28 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause

1 the same to be posted , in three of the most public places in the
2 City of Vernon, to wit : The northwest corner of 38th Street and
3 Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
4 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
5 City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
6 in said City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is

hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
posting' of said notice shall not be less then ten (10 ) days
9
10 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
11
notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
12
