RESOLUTION NO. 4588
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING THE
PROPOSED AGREEMENT WITH THE U. S.
COMPUTER SYSTEMS DBA CABLEDATA AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon's water utility has, in
the past, utilized a manual billing account systemi and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the City's
Finance Director have studied and investigated the current
manual billing account system and have recommended that the
water utility be converted to a data processing system; and
WHEREAS, U. S. Computer Systems, dba Cabledata,
submitted a proposed data processing agreement for study and
consideration by the City's Finance Director, Public Works
Director and staff of the water utility, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director and the Director
of Finance presented the proposed agreement for execution and
have recommended the initiation of this data processing system
for use in the water utility operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby approve and authorize the execution of the data
processing agreement between U. S. Computer Systems, dba Cabledata
and the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City Council.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon

shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon

and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of July, 1978.
