WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelsc5n,' Jr. Director Of Public
13 workslBuilding ,has reported to the City Council of the City of,
14 Vernon tha,t said work has been completed, under date of June 26,
15 1978, and rec.ommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
16 to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreeme:qt.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, B.:E IT RESOLVED BY THE .CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work on the.installationof a
20 Bickett Street storm drain, pursuant to Contract ~o. 414, is
21 hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Nineteen
23 Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars and No Cents {$19,S34..00 .
24 That there is now due to the Contractor a final partj,.al payment
25 totaling $eventeen Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Dollars and Sixty
26 Cents ($17,580.60), which should be paid at this time and the
27 remaining ten percent (10 %) of the total Contract amount .or the
28 sum of One Thousand Nine Hundred Fif.ty-Three Dollars and Forty
1 cents ($1,953.40) is payable thirty~five (35) days after the
2 adoption of this. Resolution and the City Council of the City of
3 Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to
4 GEORGE MILLER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, and instructs the City Clerk
