A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK FOR REROOFING SEVEN
CITY HOUSES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 422
OF THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, DEBROUWER BROS., ROOFING COMPANY, was awarded
the Contract for work on Reroofing Seven City Houses, pursuant to

Contract No. 422 of the City of Vernoni and
WHEREAS,' Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
WorkS/Building, has reported to the City Council of the City of
8

Vernon that said work has been completed, under date of August 30,
11
1978, and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be
12
13
made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work on the Reroofing Seven City
16 Houses, pursuant to Contract No. 422 is hereby approved by the City
17 of Vernoni

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Seven
19 Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($7,775.00). That
20 there is now due to the Contractor a payment of Six Thousand
21 Nine Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars and fifty cents ($6,997.50) and
22 the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total Contract amount or
23 the sum of Seven Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars and fifty cents
24 ($777.50) which is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
25 adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of the City of
26 Vernon hereby directs payment of said sum as set forth to
27 DEBROUWER BROS., ROOFING COMPANY and instruct the City Clerk to
28 file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTrON 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
2 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of September, 1978.
