RESOLUTION NO. 4604
A RESOLUTION OF THE eITY eOUNCIL OF THE eITY
OF VERNON AeeEPTING THE WORK FOR THE eLEANING
AND PAINTING OF THE EXTERIORS OF EIGHTEEN
eITY HOUSES IN AeCORDANeE WITH eONTRAeT NO.
420 OF THE eITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, M. P. PAINTING, was awarded the eontract for
work on the cleani~g and painting of the exteriors of eighteen
eity houses, pursuant to eontract No. 420 of the eity of Vernon;
and

WHE~EAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
Work~/Building, has reported to the eity eouncil of the eity of
Vernon that said wor~ has been"completed, under date of November
3, 1978, and recommends that the work be accepted and payment,
be made to the eontractor in accordance with the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE eITY eOUNeIL OF
THE eITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SEeTION 1: That the work on the cleaning and painting
of the exteriors of eighteen eity houses, pursuant to eontract
No. 420, is hereby approved by the eity of Vernon;
SEeTION 2: That the total contract amount is Nine
Thousand, Nine Hundred Forty-Five Dollars and No eents ($9,945.00)
That there is now due to the eontractor a final partial payment
totaling Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars and Fifty
eents ($8,950.50), which should be paid at this time and the
remaining ten percent (10%) of the total eontract amount or the
sum of Nine Hundred Ninety-Four Dollars and Fifty eents ($994.50)
is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this
Resolution and the eity eouncil of the eity of Vernon hereby
directs payment of said sums as set forth to M. P. PAINTING

1 and instruct the eity elerk to file a Notice of eompletion with
2 the eounty Recorder.

SEeTION 3: That the eity elerk of the eity of Vernon
4 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
5 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of November, 1978.
