A RESOLUTION OF THE eITY eOUNeIL OF THE eITY OF
VERNON APPROVING eONTRAeT NO. 426 AND AUTHORIZING
NOTIeE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR
THE RESURFAeING OF 38TH STREET, ROSS STREET, AND
IRVING STREET, IN AeeORDANeE WITH eONTRAeT NO.
426 OF THE eITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the eity eouncil
7 of the eity of Vernon eontract No. 426 for the resurfacing of
8 38th Street, Ross Street and Irving Street; and
10 determined that it is in the best interests of the eity of Vernon
9 WHEREAS, the City eouncil of the eity of Vernon has
11 that said eontract be awarded in accordance with applicable
12 State law.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE eITY eOUNeIL OF
14 THE eITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SEeTION 1: eontract No. 426 is hereby approved by the
16 eity eouncil of the City of Vernon.

SEeTION 2: The eity elerk of the eity of Vernon is
18 hereby directed to file in his office at the eity Hall of the
19 eity of Vernon a copy of said eontract No. 426.

SEeTION 3: The eity elerk of the eity of Vernon is
21 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
22 proposals or bids for the resurfacing of 38th Street, Ross Street,
23 and Irving Street, in accordance with eontract No. 426 and in
24 accordance with this Resolution.

SEeTION4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
26 tion printed, published or circulated in the eity of Vernon, the
27 eity elerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause
28 the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
1 eity of Vernon, to wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street
2 and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
3 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
4 City Hall of the eity of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
5 in said eity.

SECTION 5: The eity elerk of the eity of Vernon is
7 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
8 posting of said notice shall not be less then ten (10) days
9 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
10 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
11 received by the City of Vernon at the office of the eity elerk
12 of the eity, at the eity Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
13 ealifornia 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m., on the 21st day
14 of November, 1978, and in accordance with eontract No. 426
15 approved by said ei ty.

SEeTION 6: The eity elerk of the eity of Vernon shall
17
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
18
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of November, 1978.
